   The cost of the war is somewhat independent of who is in office,
   once the war has been started, unless you have a fool like LBJ

   Meanwhile Mr. Bush gets credit for starting that cost, and it
   looks like Mr. Obama will deserve credit for putting it to an
   end.

   Of course his stimulus failed.  The GOP won't let a workable
   fix to the economy, Mr. Obama might get credit for it.

   So why does the right insist on speaking only to audiences who
   who don't wear the "wrong message" on thier T-shirts?  Why did
   Mr. Bush shut down the people's right to speak out in the park
   across from the White House?
