That question came up at last year's Bootcamp (2010).  It turned out to be a 
chicken-and-egg thing: OpenVMS isn't supported on Superdome because 
customers hadn't asked for it, and customers hadn't asked for it because it 
wasn't supported!  IIRC the view from Engineering was that it shoulnd't be 
all that difficult technically, but as always it wouldn't happen unless 
there was significant customer demand.

As to the BCS / Odyssey thing ... there are all sorts of ways you can read 
it.  I don't think the HP comments about support roadmaps should be taken as 
bad news; in my experience the support roadmaps have never promised to run 
indefinitely and almost never mentioned the version number of the next 
release (or the one after it).  There is absolutely no doubt that the 
majority of HP's customers want to run Windows and/or Linux and so putting 
Superdome features into x86 hardware makes sense.
