But I am curious at a more technical level if the current crop of blade
based superdomes with Quickpath shared memory between blades is
architecturally equivalent to the wildfire/galaxy class alphas which had
shared memory and separate CPU "blocks" (forget what terminology was used).

And if equivalent, how difficult it would be to adapt that code to work
on superdome.

OR: could VMS just boot in its current IA64 version  on a single blade
of a superdome with no shared memory features enabled between instances ?
