My memory is hazy here, but I think if you set it to VT52, EDIT/EDT will 
work in full screen mode.  It can be painfully slow with screen refreshes 
though since it's running at the console baud rate.

EVE will simply output a message saying it wants an ANSI terminal and 
exit.
