Well, with teacher tenure being eliminated at the college level and
all teachers being paid based upon performance...one of them is
looking at end of career which appears to make them even more
irritable.

PowerTerm has _always_ been buggy.  Even that "free" version that came
with pathworks had some significant issues.

Rather than try and find a version of it to test with, I would ask
your client to install a freely available Putty version and see if
they can duplicate the error.  If they can, then you have a problem on
the Titanic.
