The joke (that appears to be on us/me) is that it was VMS but is now Linux
:-(
How much has this one outage cost in real dollars and even more so in
reputation/prestige? Why doesn't someone at OMX let alone the ASK get their
arse well and truly kicked?
I thought that if the Singapore exchange take-over of ASX (won't happen
anyway) went through then it might go back to VMS but I just read an article
that says they wen to "GENIUM in 2009 :-(
So the VMS solution has 100% up-time but that's not important to these
wankers that just lost billions in trades and failed closing positions?
Nah, Nasdaq/OMX is the joke but ASX and SGX don't seem to be laughing.
Why isn't this fodder for The Register or ComputerWeekly et al?
