BOOTNODE is not a SYSGEN parameter, which is why it is not listed.
It is an obsolete flag for AUTOGEN that will set certain defaults
for boot nodes (those from which diskless satellites will boot from)
such as MSCP server settings.

You don't need to set it, unless you've got a VAX 785 serving several
diskless Microvax II's or something.
