Larry's statement was pretty clear: "stopping all development of Oracle 
on Itanium".  And I don't think you'll see it on ALPHA or VAX as well.  
While Rdb, being below the radar and having a tradition of major 
releases with minor increments, might be able to continue more or less 
as before the announcement, I doubt very much that this would hold for 
Oracle Classic.
