Well, at least he didn't come out and say "We're not supporting any new
versions of our software on Itanium or on new Itanium versions".
Does IBM still have any software on VMS? MQSeries? WebSphere ever make it?
Given the financial state of HP, I can't see a major port of VMS and NSK to
x86 even if there was any managerial backing or demand outside the 10 people
here. So that leaves us with HP doing something extraordinary to get Oracle
etc al back on board the good ship Itanic. It's just not gonna happen is it?

PS, Is it true that Oracle 11gR2/VMS was sitting there ready to be shipped
when Larry killed it?
