[Info-vax] Looking for NOTES (or a solution to a problem with it)

stream_LF is a "harmless" file format in that it does not add or remove 
anything from the file.
It's just that the record length must be right before backup is happy 
with it. It ignores things like the record type attribute (or atleast I 
have not managed to notice it caring).
