Not unsurmountable ones. If he had paid for it,
he could have had a laptop PPC, just like IBM
created the G5 (from Power4), or the Xbox CPU
for M$.
Another company, PA Semi, had created PWRficient
exactly for this purpose (the name of
Semi's founder, D.Dobberpuhl, should ring a bell
with Alpha worshippers).
In the end, Apple even bought this company,
but not for their PPC, but for ARM design.
So the alleged reason for the infamous "switch"
rather seems to be a lame excuse for merging the Mac
with Wintel.
