Have a look in SYS$MANAGER:DECW$SERVER_0_ERROR.LOG

The symbol definition exists only within the context of the system startup
process (or subprocess?) that configures DECwindows. The symbol determines
which DECwindows transport images are loaded by the DECwindows server process.
It's not clear if you're trying to run an X11 application to display on the
AS800 screen, or if you're trying to run an X11 application on the AS800 and
have it display on a remote screen (e.g. a PC).
Note that in X11 parlance, "client" is the machine running the application
and server is the machine on which the application is displayed (i.e. the
machine the user directly interracts with).
