Unfortunatly, I think that just offering to take the unit and pay for
transportation out of their facilities may be enough. You're talking 15
year old gear here and from their point of view, worthless and long ago
written off.

Try to get as many aspare parts/disks as you can. DSSI drives aren't
easy to find anymore.
