HP today announced that it has completed its evaluation of strategic
alternatives for its Personal Systems Group (PSG) and has decided the
unit will remain part of the company.


Press release does not mention what used to be known as Palm (it is
technically part of PC division from what I was told).

So Whitman has set theprecedent that it is OK to break decisions made by
a former CEO.

But until she speaks specifically about VMS, we have to assume that it
is business as usual (silence, no marketing, reduced development efforts)
