   Education costs are a great example.  I choose to live in a high tax
   area because of the great public schools.  Schools which offered
   programs no private school can match.  And the tax rates are lower,
   but the taxes are higher because the home values are higher.

   I had an opportunity to move to a state where the taxes were tiny,
   and I'd have had to pay big bucks to put my kids in private schools
   to get just part of the education they got where I am.

   And, yes, there are life style benefits to staying here, that I want
   and am willing to pay taxes for, that will keep me here now that
   my youngest is off to college.  With two scholarships made possible
   in large part by those programs I mentioned above.
