Does anyone know of a simple way to tell from DCL whether any process
has TCP/IP port 1234 open?

I could easily write a little program or do something like:
$ PIPE TCPIP SHOW DEVICE_SOCKET | SEARCH SYS$PIPE ...
but is there a better way?

$ tcpip sh vers

  HP TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Industry Standard 64 Version V5.6 - ECO 3
  on an HP zx6000 (1.50GHz/6.0MB) running OpenVMS V8.3
