[Info-vax] DIR/DATE_FORMAT=DELTA ?

DIRECTORY doesn't offer much in the way of what field to sort on. Things
like /SELECT=SIZE and /SELECT=VERSION don't sort, only select. Just like
/BEFORE and /SINCE don't sort, only select.
Asking for DELTA for a subsequent sort (perhaps using PIPE) isn't much
better than sorting on the actual data string. As Ken mention, COMPARSION
format might make the sort a little easier.
I think a better request is for some /DISPLAY_ORDER qualifier on DIRECTORY.
It does get a little interesting with search lists, etc. where DIRECTORY
would have to keep track of the files and then output some interspersed list
of filenames. (unless you want the /DISPLAY_ORDER to only apply on each
dev/dir in the search list output).
