   "GNU" and "Linux" are spelled differently for a reason.

   "Latest" is a dangerous word to use in writing.  (What's
new since version 3.0?)

   There's more in GNU diffutils than "diff".  Did you test
"cmp", "diff3", and "sdiff", too?  I seem to recall needing
to do some work for those, too, when I did this:

I always figured that there were still some problems
involving quotation of command-line arguments, but I've been
too lazy to look closely at the question (and I almost never
use more than plain "diff").
