Not sure if this applies to you but...
In some parts of the world, HP's customer support folks are able to
provide support for some 3rd party storage apps such as backup
packages, maybe on contract, or maybe on a per-call basis. Some of
these people will know VMS and if they don't they should have access
to people who do.
If you have a support contract on your GS80 or are willing to pay on a
per-call basis you might want to enquire whether this service is
available to you. Sadly I cannot offer you any hints as to how best to
make that enquiry.
