Subject: OpenVMS Hobbyist Program

The OpenVMS Hobbyist Program provides HP OpenVMS licensing and products
authorized by the HP OpenVMS Hobbyist License Terms and Conditions. This
program, available on Integrity, Alpha, and VAX Platforms, provides a
low cost solution for the HP OpenVMS enthusiast who wants to learn more
about HP OpenVMS for the pleasure of using one of the finest operating
system for their own personal use. This program provides free OpenVMS
Product Authorization Keys (PAK's) to any member of a participating HP
User Group. In addition, the OpenVMS Hobbyist Program offers kits
containing OpenVMS Base O/S software and selected Layered Products via
download.

As we enter 2012, HP has decided to consolidate the Hobbyist and
openvms.org resources to better allow our users a single source, vs. two
sources, to get OpenVMS information. HP OpenVMS is also working closely
with Connect and strongly supports the Connect organization and their
programs and greatly values their participation in supporting the
OpenVMS users. Connect is a strong advocate of the Hobbyists and
OpenVMS users as a whole.

The new link for the Hobbyist Registration is:
http://www.openvms.org/hobbyist

There are no changes being made to the registration process, no
additional fees are being requested.
HP and Connect will be more engaged with the Hobbyists to ensure OpenVMS
stays strong.

Additional Hobbyist centric pages and links will follow as we receive
feedback from the community.

Regards,

HP OpenVMS Team
