It used to be that there was a drive select jumper on the drives,
with numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4, or sometimes 0, 1, 2, 3.
Since PC drives use the cable twist to move the select line, some
might not even have the jumper. It will then appear as the second
drive.
There is also inconsistent use of pin 2 and pin 34 between drives,
which could cause problems.
