I just checked on OS-X. I am surprised that there is no apparent comands
to dictate text or binary transfers.

The server side does have logging and debugging levels, so you should be
able to start the server sftp side with logging enabled to the max to
see what it sees from VMS.


Does the problem occur on any text file size ? Or only fil sizes larger
than a certain amount ?
