The pictures I've seen of them sure have deceived me then!
Still, though, like the zx2000 (though somewhat rare) it'd
be in a convenient 'form-factor' for a VMS Hobbyist.

Not really, I have plenty of IA-64 hardware (even sold a
bunch over the last months/year).

I think you're mistaken with V8.2 here. I'm specifically referring
to V8.1.
