The Alpha and IA64 installation is a fairly good script doing the entire installation. 
VAX is not so all inclusive.  As JF wrote, there is a manual procedure to do an IMAGE 
restore of the "B" save_set to a disk, and then follow on procedures, mainly scripted, to 
  perform additional steps of the installation.

Having the installation guide would be prudent.
