As time passes, I think that machines that are still in perfect working
condition become more valuable because they are more rare.

so a manufacturing plant that needs a working 3100 to replace another
one will prefer to pay real dollars for one that has been checked/testes
rather than paying $20 for a hobbysit machine that sat unused in some
basement for 20 years.
