   I had the right system up recently, and looked at that
I64084-REMASTERED.ISO a little more closely.

REX $ df _REX$LDA1:

   Device      Blocks total   Blocks used   Blocks free   % free

 REX$LDA1:          8388608       6845248       1543360     18%

So, only about 750MB bigger than necessary.  (And ordinary
Zip Deflate-8 compression saves only about 25% of the
actually occupied space.)

   Sometimes I think about how much fun it would be to
download something like this, and find that it was packaged
in an optimal (or even a slightly clever) way.  Not holding
my breath.
