In regard to file attributes fixup or checksum algorythm
this doesn't make a difference to install...

And I have

POLYCENTER Software Installation utility version: V8.4-159
Product Configuration File (PCF) support level: 1
Product Description File (PDF) support level: 10
Product Text File (PTF) support level: 2
    Image Name: DSA0:[SYS0.SYSCOMMON.][SYSEXE]PCSI$MAIN.EXE;1

So it seems, that you are on V8.3 (and I was talking
about V8.4 with the mandatory HPBINARYCHECKER).

And I have now tried the installation on OpenVMS Alpha V8.4
and got the same error with validation as on I64.

That is interesting and good to know (if done on V8.4
as I think, the _HPC checksum file is not used by V8.3)

UnZip 6.00 of 20 April 2009, by Info-ZIP. For more details see: unzip -v.

without any options
