Well, you could set the default permissions in the LOGIN.COM file of the
account with the [staff,user1] identifier.
$ IF "'"F$mode()'".EQS."NETWORK" THEN -
$ SET PROTECTION=(SYSTEM:RWED,OWNER:RWED,GROUP:RWED,WORLD:RWED)/DEFAULT
Why do you want world RWED anyway?
