There hasn't been much background data provided in this thread, nor in 
the previous "lost database password" thread.

HBVS is also commonly used to work around device name restrictions (eg: 
Rdb can embed the device name), and to allow easier data migrations 
(eg: DDS).

If you have the "full" HBVS VOLSHAD license, then many (all?) disks can 
look like good candidates to migrate into shadowsets.
