Not only "can", it does. :-)

Have been through many "moves" of Rdb databases where the devices
was not routed/conceild devices (on what case Rdb will unwind any
logical name "device" and store the physical name) by adding
temporary logical names to fool Rdb.

By beeing carefull how the logicals are defined, Rdb will store
the primary logical in the root file and it gets easier to move.


Anyway, seems as we agree on the actual thread anyway.
That is, the lack of background... :-)
