How many days supply of Guinness do you have ? How many days can your
generator run to keep the Guiness cool ? If you are on cable, the node
feeding your neighbourood can't last indefinitly on batteries. However,
mobile service should have its towers on battery/generator combos.
After how many day of not hearing from you can we assume you have runned
out of Guiness and require immediate shipments to survive ?
BTW, which county is Lakewood in ?
Funnyly enough, with most Lakewood residents not driving, it may be
safer for you to drive during the storm than during sunny quiet days :-)
:-) :-)
On more serious note:
This is the weather briefing your governor got at 18:00 sunday:

There is already some coastal flooding in Delaware (DE 1 just north of
the Indian river bridge for instance). Rough seas. And the storm is
still far away. (I've cycled on that road)
last year, Irene caused a lot of damage. One landslide severely reduced
the River Line trains until late June of this year when the completed
the building of a retaining wall. And they had a huge amont of damage to
rail lines due to fallen branches and disrupted overhead wiring.
NJ Transit will be last to fully shutdown BTW.
In NYC, they are covering street level subway vent shafts with plywood
to prevent water on streets from flooding subway tunnels. In many places
outside of NYC, they are also removing level crossing gates so they
won't fly off into the wind.
Air travel will be very messy for the whole week.
