   I know nothing, but with my weak psychic powers, I
specifically don't know which "the SSL package" you tried to
use, or how, or what the actual error message which you got
was, all of which makes even guessing difficult.  As I
recall, HP has supplied a couple of incompatible SSL kits,
and OpenSSL should still be available for VMS.  (I haven't
looked lately, but I thought that 1.0.0g actually worked.  I
had problems (test failures) with 1.0.1b on Alpha but not
IA64.  Since patch availability dropped off, I haven't cared
as much, so I don't know what's changed in the past year or
so.)
