Yes, I was using the old Google Groups. I did get a response by trying
again a minute or so later but it was still very tardy.
There was a pile of messages saying "loading" or similar (Google insists
on giving me the German equivalent unless I leave cookies switched on).
It was also coming up with disturbing number of "post was deleted" (my
translation) items.
