I remember SOS on TOPS-10, not EDIT. 

Before TOPS-10, the system I knew best was WYLBUR, which has commands
close enough to SOS that I had a pretty easy time learning to use it.

I didn't learn TECO until some years later, working on RT-11.

Last time I used TECO was with VMS/Itanium, and it crashed every few
commands.
