Very funny. And so original.

Three type of actors caused the failure of itanium :
- snob conservatives, like majority of VMS community, who, by the way,
not doing anything positive between 2002 and now, just killed themselves
(oups ! nobody buys itanium ! oups ! nobody advised to buy itanium !)
- funny anarchists like linux communities, who thought they were
fighting against the wicked capitalist intel,
- ISV for whom investment is a bad word.

About everybody was opposed to itanium. And we have now the chance of
using some prehistoric x86-bloated-64 for everybody.
A big success of "the market" against innovation.

I think about what the "free world" was saying about uniformity in
soviets or in china.

THe difference, here, is uniformity is not was is imposed to us,
uniformity is what we LIKE.

What is the world for the smartest it community : VMSic ?
