Okay so other web sites are hinting that changes to the Itanium road map might be coming from a decisions made by HP -and- Intel. It would seem that HP is, once again, putting more emphasis on selling servers powered by XEON. Now I don't have a problem with that chip other than it wont directly run OpenVMS. So all I can say now is this: 

I hope that OpenVMS "skunk works" in India is already working on porting OpenVMS to x86-64.
