Then what is the purpose of NFS, CIFS, FTP/SFTP, ASU/PW and so forth in
VMS...?  Maybe HP should issue a warning: 'Sorry, we neglected VMS so
much, it can't be realistically used/relied on'?  I certainly was never
warned.  And no, RMS and file attributes were the least of my worry, in
comparison to sub-standard and poorly maintained software (like the
above mentioned file serving/transfer protocols and suites).
