[Info-vax] SFTP with self-signed SSL certificates

I had this posed to me by a client as regards to VMS SFTP.  But from my way of thinking this is really an issue of FTP over SSL (FTPS).  In my research it appears that some "SFTP clients" are actually supporting this but I think folks are getting confused by the terminology and that these are actually two different types of connection and two different types of protocols.

If someone can point me at a reasonable discussion that would good.  And from the sounds of it any suggestion on supporting FTPS on VMS since I am reasonably certain SFTP will not support this.
