That area has been a moving target, then?   The last time I chatted 
with that fellow, he was encouraging locked settings on Alpha and 
autonegotiate settings on Itanium, except where the VirtualConnect 
Flex10 gear was involved on Itanium and then locked settings, and — as 
per usual — he'd fix negotiation errors where they'd surface.  Well, 
that or my memory is shot.  Which is distinctly possible.
