[Info-vax] DE500 and autonegotiation

I guess one could say that if it doesn't work, the switch or card isn't 
functioning properly.  :-)

I tried Hoff's suggestion to find out the hardware version with ANA/SYS, 
but I don't see it.

This console message appears quite early at startup, before cluster 
membership happens.

I don't want to risk fooling around with the settings in LANCP.  
Assuming that the cards I have (probably factory installed in the PWS; 
the one in the XP1000 works fine) work with 100 Mb/s and/or full duplex 
at all, is there any danger in setting this at the console then booting?
