Actually, I like the concept, if not the details of the implementation.  
I like an interface I can use with SET and SHOW, with volatile and 
permanent databases, which has a VMS look and feel and will catch typos.

VMS HELP scrolls properly, but most utility-based HELP (VMS MAIL is an 
example) doesn't.  That's why I have this in MAIL$KEYDEF.INI:

   DEFINE/KEY PF2 "SPAWN HELP/LIBRARY=MAILHELP"/TERMINATE/NOECHO
