We run MQ V6 on OpenVMS V8.4 Itanium with the same stack IP as yours,
and have no problems at all. But we never tried to compile and run
this demo program. I will see as soon as I can what the IBM support
people in Belgium say about the support.

I goggled a little bit and found
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24009031 where indeed
8.4 is not mentioned.

I'll also bring the issue with HP (we are on proactive support).
