Thanks Brian and Bill. Yes, seriously. Not the end of the world if I 
can't fix it obviously but I'd perfer to keep the thing going if I can.

I just put one of my huge CRTs out on the verge and with, another move 
coming up, my wife's asking questions about what's all this stuff and 
can be get rid of it.
