So things freeze up when the quorum disk is not available.  With a SAN, 
you can have several "individual disks".  Why not have one as a quorum 
disk and another with SYSUAF etc?  This other disk could be mounted by 
both nodes from SYLOGICALS.COM.  Of course, if your SAN itself is a 
single point of failure, this won't buy you much.
