I ask this in a neutral fashion :

Do developpers really need the support that is now provided by HP for VMS ?

In the past, access to support was probably worth something because when
a developper found an odd very low level bug, there were people at DEC
who understood and could track it down. But with what is left of VMS
engineering, is support still of value to developpers who generally have
more experience with VMS ? (expecially considering there are no new
features coming to VMS).
