FWIW, I've looked at products from both companies, Sector 7 and Transoft. Both are
worth checking out if your goal is to attempt what I would describe as a lift out. Meaning,
you aren't looking to do a massive rewrite, rearchitect, redo from scratch kind of thing.
So if you are looking to preserve the code base, mostly as is, then they are good starting
points. The more your system matches what they have already done, the better off you are.
Obviously, if you are doing things that they have never seen before, more effort and changes
will be required from at least one side which will add to the cost.
The fact that you have a choice between two vendors should at least feel encouraging.
