I take it none of the compilers on VMS can generate code to take
advantage of Poulson ? Or were they updated to allow this before HP put
the axe on everything ?
Assuming the compilers were updated, would it be fair to state that an
application compiled for Poulson would see significant advantages,
despite the underlying OS not tuned to use Poulson's new capabilities ?
aka: wouldn't the typical applications consume most CPU in user mode
inside the application code instead of while inside systemn routines ?
