No, that seems to be you.  The simulator project running on VAX VMS 
that was looking for someone with VAX VMS experience on USAJOBS.GOV
clearly said Moffett Field and not NASA Ames.  The fact that it is
NASA that is leasing this to Google now kinda hints that they owned/
operated it in the past.  Additionally, the simlator project mentioned
5 sites with the only one other than Moffett that they mentioned being
Huntsville poionts even more towards it being a NASA operation.  If
the headquarters for the project was at Moffett Field and the government
(ie. NASA) are no longer using facilities at Moffett Field I think it
is safe to assume the project is over.

I never said they were.  As a matter of fact, until this message, I
never mentioned NASA Ames at all, you did.

Exactly.  NASA is turning over operations of the Field to Google.  And,
the simulator was headquartered out of Moffett Field, not NASA Ames.
Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the simulator project is
now gone.

I just wondered two things.
1.  What was it simulating? 
2.  What happened to the equipment?
