According to HP's Q3 2014 Quarterly Results, Business Critical Systems 
had revenues of $975 Million in the last year -- almost a Billion US 
dollars -- and undoubtedly at higher profit margins than some other 
business segments.

It would be silly of HP not to want to sell more IA64 boxes.

The deal with VSI allows HP to sell i4 and later Kittson-based IA64 
servers to OpenVMS customers.
