>From our analysis of the BASIC RTL, we observed that the routine which performs file open did not have code to support quadword key types. As a result, the quadword key used to open the existing file in the reproducer program, was being checked against the wrong key type in RTL, and was hence failing with FILATTTNOT (File attributes not matched (ERR=160)) error. We have implemented a probable fix for this problem, by modifying the file open routine to support Quadword key type. We have performed the initial tests with this test image. However, this will need to be tested extensively to ensure correct support for quadword key types. Please test the fix and do let us know your feedback. The DEC$BASRTL test image is available in the following saveset.

So I tested the provisional RTL they provided and everything seemed to work as expected. It's nice to know HP has people are available to fix problems like this one.
